Located just one short block from either Washington Avenue or Coors Brewery is Anthony's, a favorite hangout of local workers, especially those who work at Coors. The feature dish here is a New York style, extra-wide sliced, thin crust pizza. A variety of fresh ingredients can be combined in unusual combinations to produce unusual flavors.
I ordered the semi-standard custom pizza fare of basil and cheese pizza, pictured on the right. The slice was definitely wide enough to fold in half, but folding isn't my style of eating pizza. The pizza tasted fresh, but it was severely lacking enough sauce and crust consistency for my tastes.
Other than pizza, Anthony's does offer other standard Italian fare, but pizza is obviously the main attraction here. Pizzas can be ordered by the slice or whole pizza pie, and of course, happy hour features none other than fresh brewed Coors beers!
