Southwestern style oozes out of every crack in Table Mountain Inn. The shape, color, and stucco texture of the building itself echoes the famous Table Mountain, which lies in the distance directly opposite this hotel. Inside, the Southwestern theme goes into overkill and feels out of place because Golden isn’t in the southwest, Golden was one of the defining towns of the historic Old West.
The lobby itself is very warm and inviting. The floor is a very natural worn terra cotta colored floor, with tiles that may be handmade because *gasp* they aren’t perfectly smooth on top.
The built in fireplace contained a gently burning with a fire, and nearby a pair of cushy chairs welcomed guests to sit and relax. Beyond the chairs and fireplace was a living room setup with couches, a coffee table, more chairs, and even a telephone desk with free usage of a computer and internet connection. The hotel front reception desk was behind all of this furniture, a bit out of the way for anyone walking in the front door to go to the hotel side of the building.
If you weren’t going to the reception desk to stay at the hotel, you would turn to the right
